Yes, 3D in Dredd was fantastic. They actually designed a new mini camera to shoot 3D in intimate closeup. Plus the slowmo 3D was an integral part of the plot. I saw it 4 times in 3D and would have seen it a 5th in 2D but there were no 2D screenings sadly. I searched every cinema I could think of and they had no 2D versions. Sad that it may have contributed to it's poor ticket recipets.
Also Avatar, Toy Story 3, Life Of Pi, TT3D and as you said Hugo were fine 3D films that demand to be seen in that format first and foremost. But I want to see 3 new SW films that have the comfortingly familiar feel of the OT not the jarring disconnect of the way the PT looked.
