i think i grabbed the edit from fileserve or some warez site. i found it on sceper.eu it was right around the time i joined ot.com it was posted up there with the front cover. i have not seen the jelleo/ edit. but i did read up on it and decided i wanted the taolar edit because lex luthor was not removed. though i did find some utube videos of the jelleo edit and there were some pretty cool sfx changes. however i would still like to see a superman edit that spans 3 movies granted the third one lacked punch but there has to be some useful bits in it.

Amazingly new newbie here! (Just found the edit on De*****d and then this site and am now also aware of FanEdit).

Taolar, did you finish the cut or are you leaving it with your 6-year-old version?

It would be interesting to see how things have panned out.

I've also been searching for the Superloong TV edit that was 188 minutes, but can't find it - is it called Salkind International. How does the Donner cut of I hold up to this?

I haven't touched a video editor in too long.  Every other week or so I considering going back and finishing the Superman edit, but life is busy here.  Still, with the new Blu-ray Superman set out now, including all the scenes I couldn't get in HD when I started this edit, I'm very tempted...

It's very hard to find and even harder to get decent seeds from.

I may have it in about 3 days.

 

Fanedit are being very nice, but I have no idea where to look for their edits, any of them.

I look forward to yours, and hope you enjoy the latest BD footage - it sounds really great!

Sorry to zombie this thread, but if the pre-release is going to be the last of this, could we get a better quality version (ie, DVD)?

It was still better than pretty much any other cut to date.

Sorry, awful Man of Steel inspired me to post.

Yes the only problem with this stuff is the JDownlaoder crap. Just an awful way to get these movies.

I have never gotten it to work easily or downloaded anything successfully with it. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Unfortunately after a few hard drive crashes, I think I've lost all my original files.  I did have a DVD render that I gave out to a couple friends though...  I'll ask around.  PM me your address and if I get ahold of one I'll mail a copy to you!

Using Filestube.com I found some working megashare links for this.  I'm not sure if it's still around anywhere else.

Oddly it is tagged with "Fixed THC" not sure what that's about though.

THC probably means the hybrid cut. The megaupload links dont do me any good. There is a 500 MB download size limit and the 2 files are 700 MB.

It's megashares not megaupload and MS allows download resuming, even for free users.

I was able to download it, before I was getting a message I could only download 500 MB or so. I didn't know you could download it anyway. Didn't watch it yet, but hope to soon.

Well, watched it, it's not finished but some of the changes made are pretty interesting. The movie cuts off early in both files. So pretty much watch out of curious, it doesn't replace watching the films the normal way.

If it's a more complete version I'd like to watch it. With more complete effects that is. The video I watched had that guy have a solid color cover his stomach when Zod used his heat vision on him. So if you enhanced that further I'd like to see it.

I only released one version, so that should be it.  I'm surprised your version has parts cut off at the end of both files!  Where does each file end?

As for the guys stomach, its not a solid color, although my appear that way on certain displays.  It is supposed to be his burned shirt.  I decided not to show blood or guts until Superman gives up his powers and gets beat up in the diner.

The first part cuts off as someone is climbing onto a bridge. Then part 2 starts with someone reading the newspaper with a story about Superman stopping missles. I thought that was an intentional edit. But the second part cuts off, can't remember, but it's cut short too. That's when I knew they were cut off early.
