I signed the insurance form and sent it back, so they have a copy. It was all done during the week i was moving house so i was juggling so much stuff at the time. They didn't ask for the serial number. just the model number as a description of the item, on the form. It's my fault as i should have checked everything but, at the time, it was a madhouse having purchased the new house, arranging the move, packing and sorting out all the insurance, utilities etc all in the space of less than a week. Looking back i have no idea how we managed to get all that done. So i have no legal standing whatsoever.
