What is your issue with the Kzinti? They weren't specifically created for Trek to begin with. The Slaver Weapon, (their only appearance onscreen in Trek) is one of my favorite TAS episodes.
I have no issue with them per se, and I did like the episode, but their actions in the story were pretty dumb (Oh, we found an ancient device from an incredibly powerful civilization with unknown properties - let's start pressing buttons to see what happens).

Well, there's the first nine seasons of The Simpsons, the original Stargate movie, the OOT versions of ANH & TESB, Vincent Price, a good portion of the Twilight Zone episodes I've seen, Bruce Campbell, Genesis (the band, of course), the first two seasons of Tales from the Cryptkeeper, Michael Jackson (for the most part), many quotations from Shakespeare, Stephen King short stories, at least the first four seasons of Rugrats, many quotations from the Bible, Alanis Morissette (when she's not being overtly New Agey), all the roles I've seen of Jennifer Connelly's outside of the terrible The Day the Earth Stood Still remake, many quotations from Poe, every Nightmare on Elm Street film with Heather Langenkamp, the entire run of Are You Afraid of the Dark? minus a fair number of misfires throughout the final two seasons, pre-1996 Bryan Adams ...
