Looks like the TECH-NOIR club scene to me.

Yeah, it's from that scene but from an angle not appearing in the film. It's probably a promo photo.
Here's that scene in the movie:
Thanks guys, like I said I searched and searched lol, really thought I was losing my mind, so I will grab those images You_Too and hopefully 1 of them will work for our cover guy.

The SQZ looks better IMO.
A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.
I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

Miles better and that is the thx version, I was under the mostly unpopular impression that the first release looks more like the film should.
The muse was always known as a bit ropey, but must be the first HD transfer so must be struck from a 35mm and the colour should be pretty close
How's the blu-ray coming along guys?
Not sure anyone shared this but someone made a pretty good comparison video of the mono and the 5.1. I did not make this.
This is looking wonderful for both films guys. Thanks again for all your hard work in piecing this together.
The pink in T2 comes form the earlier video masters. It popped up in many many many late 80's/early 90's releases for some odd reason. It is not ANYWHERE in the film as shot, as I saw an original print a few years ago that looked perfectly natural and not at all pink.

No it was always the special edition, Cameron had final cut the directors cut was the theatrical version the laserdisc confirms this
I only have the extended LD, and after reading the letter and comparing the two cuts, it feels like all the dropped scenes were merely due to pacing or to slim the film by a few minutes here or there. That being said, almost all the cuts made are ill-advised since what was removed were moments of character building. Most but not all.
Does anyone know how the theatrical LD audio compares to the SE LD audio? I know the extended cut was put together in house by THX, but what I don't know is how the audio was handled. It's easily the best, richest and most detailed Dolby Stereo track I've ever heard. (Managing to top even Batman and Temple of Doom)

there is a t2 muse ld on ebay.de for 100 € + shipping.
as for the better version - theatrical vs extended cuts - i prefer the theatrical version, which is also james cameron's director's cut. but i do think that a few scenes from the mill scenes should've been left in the theatrical cut, e.g. t-1000 malfunction, fake sarah reveal.

Rydstrom remixed the audio for the SE and ruined it

what exactly did he ruin?
is the pcm from the theatrical cut ld available?
Rydstrom somehow is out to destroy everything he did good. The celebrated soundmix of T2 thus do not exist anymore on home video, replaced by a remix that have no dynamic range but everything LOUD.
His T1 remix is also crappy and universaly criticized by people who have heard the original mono mix.
I wish he would step in and correct those for future releases.
wait, the first ld from live home video was also remixed? i thought that one was untouched.
what about the old blu-ray/hd-dvd (canal +) of the theatrical cut. though 5.1, but are they also remixed?
does the muse hi-vision contain the original mix?
and yes, no argument on the terminator. the mono mix beats the new 5.1 mix clean and hard.

All versions of T2 bar the first LD and the 5.1 LD also the fist Live DVD are remixed.
The Live DVD and the 5.1 LD have the (what is meant to be the) CDS mix or close to it, we have it and it its synced and will be with this release, details are in this thread
Wow, the THX SE CLV LD is an impressive track, I had no idea it was completely redone from the ground up.

Has anyone synced current PCM mono track to the new remastered blu ray?
yup
It always drifts for me :(

yup
Could I by any chance get a copy? :)
Seems the track is a few seconds behind on the new BD.
i need to dig it out and then i can share it. though it will be flac @ 44.1khz.
A sync of the mono is on MS, totally in sync with the new Blu-ray. You just need not to mux it with any other logo at first than the Orion logo.
I have taken possession, through another interested party, of the french mono track ripped from the early french DVD. I converted it to PCM and will sync it to the current Blu-ray in the next month. Probably will up it on MS too in DTS-HD after this.
I have the UK disc you have no option with the logos
I see I can set a delay using MKVmerge. What delay value did you use Flexicon9?
