No I can't, this is a special treat for those that were gracious enough to donate!

No really I have no idea how my guy does this so well and really have had no interest in asking because I do not have the time to do it anyways, but as I previously said, this will not be something regular, I just can't afford to keep doing all this out of my pocket, but it is really nice isn't it? they look even better in hand.

I'm sure there will be a way for everybody who wants a copy to get one. People on this forum are always helpful and I'm sure somebody could help copying discs for the ones who didn't get any. And the covers will be shared too so everybody can get them printed.

I never even heard about donating. I guess I should check this thread more often. I keep trying the torrent for the mobile one, but no one's ever seeding. I'd love to get in on any type of future plans for others to get a copy.

I just wanted to confirm to Team Blu that I received Conan today. This really is a beautiful looking package.  I went ahead and put the disc into my Samsung player and the disc loaded up with no issues.  I made a beeline to the Conan the Symphony extra and was blown away by how full and clear the audio is. Awesome, awesome extra.

Anyway,  I have access to several different players so I'll report back and let Team Blu know if I find anything unusual.

After my small sampling of the Conan disc I really can't wait to see the NOTLD 90:)

Once again I offer a heartfelt thanks to Team Blu.  Keep up the good work!!!!

"Let me tell you of the days of High Adventure..."

1982 was a mind fuck for a kid of any age.  That year saw the U.S. release of The Road Warrior, Tron, Poltergeist, Blade Runner, The Thing, Fast Times, E.T., Wrath of Khan and of course, Conan The Barbarian.

Is that something?  These films are still so alive it seems like yesterday.  Have you ever seen the like? ;)

I read a lot of comments from obviously younger viewers today who dismiss some or all of these films as being anachronisms from a bygone era, better left by the roadside of forgotten dreams and dated wistfulness.

That's a shame.

For me these films and that time still stand second to none in the cinematic order of the universe.  I can't imagine another time or place that realized so many of my celluloid dreams and nightmares so beautifully.

When Team Blu's project arrived via DJ's steadfast efforts, I couldn't help but feel a little melancholy.  I realized that this would be the first time in a long time, perhaps even decades, that I would experience Conan the Barbarian in perfect visual and aural fashion... maybe the very first time if you really think about it.

So in went the disc, out went the lights and on went the show.  The chronicler's voice resonated with crackling bravado and the room began to fill with that thunderous operatic masterwork we have all come to know and love...

WOW.  Just fucking WOW.

Basil Poledouris' soundtrack boomed and bristled like never before and its relentless power shook the walls and the critters and my core.  Many refer to his score as the greatest ever composed and they may be right.  All due respect to John Williams and that glorious era of film music.

The molten fire and ash began to illuminate the room in white hot amber hues and the striking color splashed across Conan's mother's face as she struck a steely gaze beyond the rising flames that cooked the steel.

Fuck Me Running.

Am i really seeing this?  Hearing this?  Can it be?

And it just kept getting better.  I chose the DTS-HD MA 5.1 version of the newly rebuilt sound design and boy am I glad I did.  I haven't heard the others yet but if this one is any indication, I'm sure the others are beyond reproach.

The warmth and vibrancy of every shot absolutely breathes new life into the formerly cool and lifeless blu-ray version we all know and hate.  Forget the screwed up sound on that abortion (don't even get me started).  What Team Blu has achieved here is nothing short of staggering, earth-shattering and seismic.  Did they put the official release to shame?  That's not even scratching the balls of this Juggernaut.  I propose this... Team Blu should remake every blu-ray I've ever seen.  Okay good.

It is without question that what Team Blu has achieved here is simply astounding and if I had the ability I would see to it that everyone who wished to experience what I have now experienced would do so immediately.  I am but a humble nimrod who doesn't even own a blu-ray burner so that's gonna be a tough trick.  My advice is to beg the members of Team Blu to somehow make at least the core film with the 5.1 soundtrack available via the spleen or the like so you can experience this revelation too.

I will continue this review soon and in further detail but for now my friends, it's back to the domains of the great kings that once glittered like the light on a windy sea.  And yes... fire does burn there still.

I am glad people are starting to recieve this :)

I have just bought myself a 10 pack of 50gb BDR, so i guess it's time to start asking, can anyone out there help me get a copy of this? i don't care about the case or cover etc as i can do those myself, just a copy of the disk, in exchange for some blanks or something to cover the costs of postage etc. If i do recieve a copy i am willing to help others get one also.

Providing it's ok with the creators, could somebody who has this rip the main feature (plus audio tracks) to a high-quality mkv and up it to myspleen?? Would be great for those of us that don't have a BR burner but would still love to check this out.

Received my copy of Conan and finally had some time to watch it this morning. First of all the packaging is amazing, the slip cover and red case along with the old school art are just perfect!

When I popped it in, I was pleased to see the movie has a nice logo next to the name in my ps3

It didn't take long for me to notice the improvement in color timing vs. the original release.  It really is so much better and reminds me more of the DVD version that I loved.  The audio options are awesome as well, so many options to choose from.  I think I settled on the PCM 2.0.  The bonus features are sweet as well, comparison gallery being my favorite.

Now on to the one thing I noticed that may be some sort of glitch....if you blink you may miss it.  At around the 01:56:33 mark I noticed a slight flash at the top of the screen.  It seems to happen when the color switches from a cooler to a warmer tone.  It's hard to spot and you have to see it in motion to notice.  I think it's just the color differences from one frame to the next.  I checked my official release BD and didn't see it.  It's right after Thulsa Doom says "the gleam in the eye of Set" (chapter 15).  If anyone else with a copy can verify.

But a truly great project from Team Blu, the effort that went into this really shows!

We'll check that part out, but I doubt there are any major errors because we were extremely careful with the frame count when color correcting it.

Thank you team blu. Conan is perfect. I don't have the technical skill to even know how you do what you do but it sure looks very nice on the screen.

Like I told DJ in an email, I didn't know what to watch first. The Ninja Trilogy with all its ninja goodness almost equals the badass Conan, riddle of steel goodness.

Its all good. It feels like the 80's all over again.

The bar has been set so high it makes me yearn to see the team blu OT trilogy.

Thank you DJ for being so generous with your out of pocket to make these releases so awesome!

I love everybody. Lets all smoke some reefer and chill. Hug and kisses for everybody.

Team blu rocks!! First of all, the packaging on this thing is INSANE. I love it!! It is now the highlight of my blu-ray collection!

I recently forced myself to sit through the crappy universal blu-ray because I knew I would appreciate Team Blu's release even more with the universal abomination fresh in my mind. The TB release is a revelation compared to the crappy universal. The color timing is perfect, the audio is glorious, and the whole package is just wonderful.

Thanks again guys for all positive feedback!

Anyway, I inspected the "glitch" djchaseb pointed out and it's on the original blu-ray as well. It's light-bleeding, something that can happen when they scan film prints. It's often seen in shot-switches in old movies.

Though the color matching might have made this scene brighter, which made it more visible.

EDIT:

I also checked the mid-scene color change in that scene. The light-bleeding happens mid-scene, the picture jumps and the color changes to warmer. I think it's something that happened when they scanned it, or it's cut 1 frame mid-scene or something. Either way, it's there in all versions of the movie.

EDIT 2:

Confirmed, it's a mid-scene cut in the film itself. It's missing 1 frame. Just like The Empire Strikes Back!

OK, when when and where WHERE can we download this and burn our own BD? This is like torture. Seriously.

Wow, never noticed before lol. The official Blu Ray is so damn dark at that part it's hard to tell. Thanks for clearing it up You Too. I can make an MKV of this or keep the Blu Ray structure with menu and everything, but as far as seeding, cox communications has me capped with a damn data limit now. I'll be glad to burn a copy for someone who can seed it.  PM me and mail me a big USB stick or blank dual layer BD. If that is okay with Team Blu. I know a ton of people are interested in this.

Of course sharing it is ok! Otherwise all the people who want to see it won't.

Anyway, if anybody who gets it wants high res cover pics to print their own, send me a pm.

This thing should be posted on YouTube and shared with Harry Knowles, who is a Conan freak.

Who is Harry Knowles? direct him to this thread if he is crazy about this film as much as we are, and it is looking like this will be going up on Spleen soon, I will have a much needed seeding helper.

Today I got something in my Mail. :)

It is a BD. :) (I asked for it without artwork and case, to keep shipping costs and costs as down as possible. :) )

I just threw it in my PS3 after admiring the beautiful menu with nice music, I started it with the 2 channel mono sound.

Wow! I can't remind watching Conan, looking so beautiful (the Movie, not the guy. :) ) the warmer colors just give it the feel what I missed watching the regular retail BD.

The audio is astounding.

Now I check the 2.1 DTS-HD MA Track, and I am sure that my neighbors are now aware of me home, thanks to my Subwoofer... The sound just send me shivers down my spine. I may only have 2 speakers and a subwoofer here, but it is just damn great sound.

Thanks to Team Blu, this is an awful great work.

The Bonus Features are also very great. I love the Symphony.

FINALLY you got it! I was starting to worry there my friend, we sure are glad you like it, you were the last one I was waiting on, now once I have an nfo template that I can use we can start getting this ready for all.

Thanks again for the kind remarks MrB! as well as everyone else that has posted a review, this really is great to read, so thank you all.
