That ROTS opening change in the beginning is nice, it's cool how you cut down that first shot.  I actually do the same thing in my edit, but I spread it around the footage even more.

My edits are currently on hold at the moment due to work and family commitments. I hope to get back to the edits soon. Your feedback has given that added motivation.

Akratus: That's a great idea. I did toy with idea of using Coruscant in the opening scene after the title crawl. However i couldn't find a suitable clip to use for the pan down shot.

Ryan: I'll give your idea for the ROTS opening scene a try. As for TPM, we seem to have a quite similar approach to many issues in the film. I'll be adding subtitles for the alien characters, though I don't know how to do dubbing yet. Jar Jar will be a senator in my edit (i'll be adding his AOTC senate scene towards the end of TPM). Anakin also turns into a hero in my edit. The final battle and Obi-Wan vs Maul scenes are also redone but the latter will need some rotoscoping to change the color of the lightsaber.

Interesting idea about using Jar Jar's senate scene to make a case for Naboo.

My original intention was to place the scene after the battle of Naboo. Jar Jar would propose giving Chancellor Palpatine emergency power. Palps would then announce the creation of the army to counter the separatist threat thus setting in motion his plan to rule the galaxy and destroy the Jedi. Bringing this scene to TPM would also help eliminate the whole Kamino/clone army mystery theme in my AOTC edit.

I'm also toying with the idea of moving Dooku's meeting with the separatist leaders in AOTC towards the end of TPM. Maybe place the scene before or after Jar Jar's senate scene to make it look like a reaction to their defeat in the battle of Naboo. Therefore the Separatist's pledge to combine their armies along with the scene where Palpatine announces the creation of the Republic's army would (hopefully) create the atmosphere of an impending war in the Republic.

Sounds very good. But I'm a little worried then that AotC might lose some key scenes then. Though I understand it is necessary to enforce menace, it being as flimsy as it is. How do you propose to rearrange AotC with this in mind?

Perhaps this would be too radical, but maybe you could consider making this into a duology? We've all felt at one point or another that it would be wiser to simply take the good bits we have, and discard the dead weight so we can at least make one or two good movies. What if you split the AotC up to enhance the other two?

I have long been a proponent of making a PT with a live-action I and III and an animated II based on The Clone Wars TV series.  A setup like this might allow that pretty well, if the idea interests you, fairuz.

Your PT duology idea sounds interesting Akratus. I personally prefer to stick with the 'trilogy' approach.

The general idea for my AoTC edit is that the war btwn the Republic and the Separatists has already begun. I'm still working out the details. One thing's for sure, there won't be any Kamino/clone army mystery. Obi Wan goes to Kamino to inspect the next batch of soldiers. The Anakin-Padme romance will of course be trimmed and toned down. The focus of the edit will be on Anakin and the events that trigger his fall (i.e his conflict between his feelings for Padme and his duty as a Jedi, the death of his mother...)

That is an awesome idea darth_ender. A good way to deal with the mess that was AoTC haha. Of course it would require someone who has followed the series closely to identify which scenes from which episodes to use. Has anyone attempted this before?

I once was trying to find material that would be useful, but I literally threw away the list yesterday because I never thought it would be that handy.  Probably it wasn't that beneficial anyway because it was introductory material from Clone Wars movie mostly.  I have some ideas I could share, but I'm in a hurry.  I can try to offer them later, if you like.  Glad you're interested :)
