fuck, fuck, fuck!  I feel to goddamned fucking, fucking, fucking, fucking stupid!!!

I went to fireworks show tonight.   I was at a highschool that borders a park.  The area was jam packed with people and trying to find a parking spot was difficult.   The area is not well lit.   In trying to find a parking space, I got turned around.   I finally found  a space.   By that time the fireworks show had already started.   I just went in the direct of the fireworks and found the high school.   When it was time to leave, I though knew about where a parked my car.   But I could not find it.   I searched and searched and searched and searched for well over an hour and a half.   But I could not find it.  A family member came looking for me and drove me home.   The police have been called and they don't think it was towed.    We will have to back and look for it when there is light.     But  DAMN, DAMN, DAMN,  FUCK, FUCK, FUCK!!!!  I am so fucking upset, I feel so fucking stupid, I am so worried that I am going to get ticketed.  WHERE IN THE FUCK DID I PARK MY FUCKING CAR!?!?!?   HOW COULD I BE SO FUCKING STUPID!?!?!?!   FUCK!!!!!

Well over an hour and a half?? That don't sound good. As you said, when its light go back and search then and keep your fingers crossed. Hope you find it. That would piss me off no end as well.

I went to a fireworks show a few years back, and one of the fireworks went wrong. When it went off it hit a bulding and re-directed straight into my youngest childs face.

He was okay but a little shuck up.

But i did find my car.

True story.

Any luck, Warb?

I have a lost car story. A couple of months ago a friend of mine got dumped (amusingly, he dumped her first and walked away with his head held high, then days later she began trying to convince him to come back to her, after debating and bellyaching about it for a while, he did. A few weeks later she dumps him and he becomes a blubbing, whiny mess of a man). So, my newly dumped friend decides he needs to go out and pick up a girl. Fine. I go out with him one night, he talks to a cute girl who doesn't give him much more than the time of day, but invites him to some party the next night. I found myself somehow not only obligated to go with him to that party the next night ("I was just getting warmed up that night, come on, I'm a little shy, I can't go to that party alone"), but also to drive, since he drove the first night.

We get to the downtown location of this party, and there is no street parking, free parking, or even metered parking anywhere. There is a fast food parking lot with just a few cars in it, no tow away sign anywhere to be seen. My friend tells me he parks in that exact parking lot all the time and has never had any trouble.

We get to the party at 11pm, I have to work in the morning. The agreement before hand was that we wouldn't be out too late. The girl who invited him is not even there. He is constantly trying to get me to go with him to talk to girls. What?! I work alone. I don't know how to do the wingman thing! If I were a girl I think the idea of two guys approaching me would be really weird and obvious.

1am rolls around, it is time to go. "Hang on, I still need to get the balls to talk to someone.", "Just one more drink, then I am going to talk to that girl." Fine. Talks. Rejected. "Well now I feel worse. Hold on, that girl over there is kind of cute and I think she keeps looking at me." 2am Man, we need to go. I still have to work in the morning. "Dude, we have got to go talk to those two blondes over there! Come on, come with me!" No. We have to go. "Fine, I'll go talk to them!" Dumbass. 2:45am, "Dammit. They both have boyfriends." Good! Let's go! Maybe I can still get some sleep before work tomorrow!

At 2:50am we make it back to the parking lot and my car is gone. It is a huge parking lot, and apparently way over on the other side of it, obscured by some trees, is a sign that says "All non-customers will be towed at owner's expense". Great. My friend calls another friend to come get us, who was fortunately still awake. Around 3:40 I am reunited with my car and divorced from $95 dollars, which had to be in cash, requiring a foreign ATM visit and a $3.50 transaction fee. $98.50. Blah. My friend had to catch up with his buddy who was kind enough to get out at 3am to pick our asses up, couldn't be rude and ask for his help and ditch immediately. Finally get back to my place and get to bed at 4:30am. Enough time to get just a couple of short hours of sleep before work.

That sucked.

requiring a foreign ATM visit

I think we can all agree that foreign ATMs are the worst.  They come to this country with their money trays out, intending to suck our country dry without contributing anything.

I've never used a cashpoint in the UK, so I am not sure if they have the same fee system, but in the States banks place them all over town; if you use one placed by a bank other than your own bank, it will charge you a service fee, usually around two to five dollars. If I could have found one for my bank that night, I would have saved $3.50.

What?? That's severely taking the piss!!!! Over here you can use your card at any ATM, any bank, building society, for free. It doesn't matter. And the cashpoints cater for every type of card that's available. The only ones that charge (usually £1.50 per transaction) are in pubs and corner shops (convenience stores) and you'll only use them if your either drunk or in a hurry. Man, the things you learn. Lol

One pound fifty is just slightly less than the equivalent of the $3.50 I paid. Seems like I usually only paid $2.50 the other times I had to do that, it is up to the bank that places the unit.

Usually it isn't hard to find one for my bank, but that night I was fed up, ready for bed, and someone else was driving. There is also a local gas station chain that is open 24/7, provides no service ATMs, and in most parts of the city you can find one of these places every couple of blocks. But the down town area didn't have any.

Everyone has debit cards anymore, and every venue accepts them, so the only time you really need cash is when you owe a mate something, or apparently, when some fucking wrecking service steals your car and holds it ransom. Some people still seem to use cash regularly though. I don't get that. With my card all transactions I make, how much money I spent and where, is nicely listed, graphed, and charted out for me when I log into my bank account. Any transactions go through my account not made by me (ID theft), I can dispute them and get my money credited back to me.

It is such a fantastic easy to use system. Who needs paper money, save for drug deals, tipping strippers, and other sketchy business these days?

Yeah exactly the same system is in place here, except banks don't charge you to use other banks cashpoints. That, I'm afraid, is taking the piss. But there you go. *shrug*

Incorrect. Depends on your bank discressions. Some banks WONT let you use their services after giving you a 10K overdarft in the past

I once thought it would be fun if someone wrote code that made old, seldom visited websites get covered in digital cobwebs and dust. You'd have to wave your cursor around to clear it away.

Where were you in '77?
