Ah, interesting. What's your reasoning behind Cinderella? Not knocking it, just wondering...

I just like it.  That's all.

I'd like to make clear, though, that the list is not in the order that I rate the films as art; it's in the order in which I am interested in preservations, which is not quite the same thing. I can put up with the Sleeping Beauty BD more readily than the Cinderella one, partly because it's still a treat to see it in 2.55:1.  Snow White is at the end because I like it but not as much as the others.  Bambi and Peter Pan are not on the list because I am under the impression that, while their releases have some issues, they did not suffer quite as badly as the others, so I'm not keen to share the costs of prints of those.

OK, point made. I haven't seen the Cinderella BD, to be honest, so I don't know what pros/cons it has. One of the main reasons for my desire for a restoration of Sleeping Beauty is just that - my dissatisfaction with the BD and the reanimation, albeit digital, of the frames.

I agree about Peter Pan and Bambi. Beautiful films, but not only are they not up to par, as far as the storyline is concerned IMHO, but their releases weren't as botched. I guess that is if you don't count the "crawling fur" release of Bambi, which all but cemented the idea (from the point of view of the studios) that film grain in a digital transfer is bad.
