I've had a Biu-Ray player for a couple of months now and haven't felt compelled to buy any new discs for it.

I think the first series is a definite contender as everyone involved deserve to be rewarded for what they have done so far.

The series has surpassed the films and the books for me in terms of what it does with the characters.

I hope they don't screw it up in an effort to keep the title character free.

I could not agree more. The show is top notch stuff. Not for the faint hearted mind you.
