Mostly it was the colors of Naboo that made it look cartoonish, those crazy green fields. And of course Jar jar was a very cartoon like character. But I agree, I really didn't like the opening sequence of Sith, with the fighters weaving in and out of the big ships, it didn't feel real at all (to me). I don't think emanswfan's project can fix that though...
