Are Muslims really trying to take over, or are some people just suffering from Islamaphobia?

The general ethos of Scotland is of the Northern European Socialist model.

I might be completely wrong but I was under the impression that UK fuels your current social benefits (such as free universities). Are you sure you are economically strong enough on your own to be able to retain those things or even incorporate more social benefits to follow that ethos?

You are completely wrong. It's a myth.

More money leaves Scotland for the rest of the UK than comes in and our economy is in a generally better state than the rest of the UK.

We would be better off. It would also be less undemocratic for the rest of the UK not having Scottish MPs voting on non-Scottish matters when English, Welsh and Northern Irish MPs can't vote in the same way on exclusively Scottish matters.

The last time the Conservatives got a majority in Scotland was 1955. I think that says all you need to know about the voting options of an independent Scotland.

Returning to the main subject, it's a classic case of scapegoating.

The finances of the world have dipped (the economic cycle does this two or three times a century) so there is a quest for an 'other'.

In the 30's and 40s 'the other' were the European Jews, the myth was global Zionism.

Now it's European Muslims and the myth is the global Caliphate.

In reality it's the mega rich pulling in their tentacles a little after a dissapointing few years at the casino markets causing everyone else to feel the pinch.
