Well we too have a wide range of political parties. Their names and rhetoric is different but when they come to power they are all the same. It may be so because of the fact that democracy's main goal is to preserve itself which limits the actions of the government. The other reason is probably because there are so many centre parties (and only them get elected) so then it is the same crap if you get left-centre or right-centre.

I am not arguing that Scotland won't get more political power with independence. I am just saying that you, as a voter, won't get any more power or alternatives.
