The real loss in sovereign powers has come from the political parties all becoming the same with different colour rosettes.
I agree on that. But do not expect things will change if you become independent. It will just be projected to Scotland level. You will still have parties with no real difference between each other. So in the end whoever you vote you get the same crap.
I don't think so.
The general ethos of Scotland is of the Northern European Socialist model. The turn out for Scottish elections tends to be higher.
We already have a wide range of political parties. With independence there would be more competition between the left wing parties and the right wing parties would have to think of different policy strategies from their UK counterparts which may lead to actually winning some seats.
There would be new parties too (presumably some campaigning for re-joining the Union in some way).
I'm no fan of the EU but the SNP is so after Independence I doubt if I would continue to vote for them.
Scottish Independence could be the best thing to happen to the UK since the end of WW2.

That's one thing that really annoys me. this government is fine with giving Scotland the vote to leave the UK but we are not allowed a vote to see if we want to stay in the EU.
The UK government didn't have a choice. The SNP won an election with a clear mandate (unlike the parties which form the Westminster government). A referendum was one of it's manifesto pledges. Indeed when the SNP wanted to wait to prepare for the referendum the other parties were pushing them to get it out of the way as quickly as possible and have been fear mongering about it from day one.
Labour and the Conservatives both promised a referendum on the EU in the past and neither fulfilled their manifesto commitments.
