When 005 asked me about the leg placement on the video i thought he meant that they weren't exactly the same placement. It wasn't until you posted this screenshot that i noticed that the video i uploaded is missing some completed shots. 2 of the shots are earlier renders done before i decided to add the CG probe. I've just uploaded the proper version to VImeo, but the bloody queueing system there sucks and won't even start processing for another 40 minutes. Tried youtube and it instantly blocked it. Funny though because the timecode that it flagged as being fox's copyright was the shot where i replaced the mound before Han's head pops up. Not sure why it should flag that place. Well i don't even know if Vimeo will allow it either yet.

We should have known not to doubt you Adywan! In future any of us spot a mistake in a preview clip we will rightly assume that the rendering or the upload is at fault and not your mighty hand.

Well every time i finish a shot or a couple of shots in a scene, i render the whole scene, stick it on my USB stick and watch it on my TV. This is a better way to see if the shots are working (you can miss stuff on a 24" monitor). Problem is that sometimes i end up uploading a previous render. But i'm usually not too bothered if i do that unless there is a glaring error in the video. All the finished files are there intact on the video timeline so a mistake in an uploaded video won't be there in the completed movie.

Great Hotfile has got your link removed and I can't view the Vimeo clip from a mobile.  Wait til I finish work I suppose! :-P

I apologize, I assumed you couldn't replace the probe being shot/exploding, I didn't want to suggest you could if you couldn't. Of course you could.

are you guys talking about the car accident mark hamill had on jan 1st 1977?lucas wasn't even done shooting star wars yet.he wanted hamill to come in for a speeder scene with threepio.but since mark was in the hospital and couldn't do it he used a stunt double and did a far away shot.and that is the scene you see in the movie.

Looks great! Can't wait to see the final product!

With all the attention on the droid it's easy to not notice the lighting continuity fix which is astonishingly seamless.

I confess I didn't notice it for ages it looked so appropriate.

Sadly, I think the original droid's arm positions were a lot more menacing than these droopy things.
