Ok. For this release, you should maybe upload it on a file sharing website like mega or rapid share, etc. and post the link(s) on tehparadox at least until a few people are able to seed the torrent because it's very slow. That's what Harmy did for DeEd v2.

I'll see. I know I dont have a fast connection. I won't have the time to do it until next week.

I hope the people that are downloading the file from myspleen will seed the torrent when they will have finished.

I will, but it's going to take a while.

I will seed once it's completed

I am not sure what happened : I was DL on myspleen at 100K/s yesterday. Now it's less than 1K/s.

I am close to 52% but at this speed, it will take 3 months to finish...

It seems that when peoples are downloading, only one person take 100% of my upload bandwidth and the others almost nothing.

I don't know why and I don't know what to do to share my upload between the leechers. Can someone maybe help me.

I'm sharing the file with a PC and µTorrent 3.3

Well, looks like I was the first leecher, and so far I got 0.48%. I'm getting data by waves, ie, stuck at 48.3MB, then an hour later, it's 50MB etc. Try tweaking your upload settings (I'm not using uTorrent so I can't help you, sorry). Maybe Google can help you.

Ok, I'm changing the way I share the movie.

For the moment the torrent is off. I'm uploading the files to mega. Then I will share the link in private and I will restart the torrent.

I will share the mega link on sunday. Sorry for that...

I am seeding like crazy, but it ain't useful yet... hava a 1.5 ration now...

If you have the mega link, MP me, I will update the file and seed at 100%

(my upload is not huge, but it will stay on)

I second d4d's reply. My upload speed is not huge either but I know I'll be able to seed 10GB in about 3 days.

I can't download anything from MySpleen unfortunately... my ratio is kinda weird, it's stuck at 0.993. I've downloaded a 2.10GB file and uploaded 2.08GB. I can't upload more because nobody is interested in this file anymore.

And now, each time I try to download a file it doesn't start.

Thank you marvins for uploading the files elsewhere, I really do appreciate that! :)  Good luck!

Those 16mm clips blew my away. They really seem to have the warm golden look that Mike Verta has said the film had in original release. (A little too gold, maybe - but that's could just be how the video camera picks up the projection.)

And I'm amazed at how it doesn't look faded at all! I assume that the first film is an LPP print? (Empire, on the other hand seems a little pinkish...)

I hope you get those prints...

Download finished! Seeding now.

I'm not very familiar with theses terms (LPP print, Ib technicolor...). Is there a method to identify what type of print it is ?

Well, the film stock is usually identified on the very edge of the film, outside of the sprocket holes. If it's a Kodak print, there's a date code and then the type of stock is identified. If it's LPP, it will say "LPP".

LPP (Lowfade Positive Print) was a very low fade stock introduced by Kodak in the early 80s. I've seen 30 year old LPP prints that still retain all their original color.

How do I get the download link ?

Thanks, merci !

Do you have a MySpleen account (torrent) ?

PM me if you want an invite.

Wow, I'm surprised at how well the color held up on the print of the first film. Especially compared to ESB, which does look more faded.

Is there more edge code data besides "FUJIFILM-SAFETY"?

No, there is nothing more after "FUJIFILM-SAFETY"

That's what I found about FUJI 16mm film :

Fuji: Generally good fading characteristics, but some of the older stuff can fade slowly, tending toward the Purple. Marked "Fuji Safety" or "Fuji Film Safety". There is a date code with the 2 digits representing the year of manufacture.

More about Fuji:  Fuji had a competitive process with SP that was marked HP, approximately the same years. It, too, fares a bit better than regular Fuji.  Fuji changed chemistry in 1982 or 1984 along with Eastman and has since gotten the same excellent low-fade characteristics.  Beware 1978-79 Fuji. There is some weird chemical that causes it to grow mold and deteriorate wildly. Can be nasty. (Thanks to Eric Grayson).

Marvins, I hope you don't mind if I used the poster you posted in this thread.

Good work !

I'm also working on a cover using the same poster. I'll post it soon.

I thought the same thing. It's a shame that a few minutes with different footage as Harmy's DeEd v2.1 make it just a bit bigger than a DL-DVD. I am lucky to own a BD-burner and have a few BD-Rs left.

On other things, I tried to introduce my 79 years-old dad to the awesomeness of "La Guerre des Étoiles" (he was "forced" to go see ROTS in a theater back in 2005 and hated it). He kept mocking Luke's looks (kind of the same way one mocks Justin Bieber's), the aliens' looks, Vader's voice, etc. It was horrible and I had to stop the movie right before Leia's "Ils embauchent des nains dans les commandos ?" line. Then I realized it's because he's a "Trekkie". I heard of these Trekkie/Star Wars fans rivalries but didn't believe it since I don't hate Star Trek myself.
