I'd need a steampunk computer to access this, wouldn't I?

When you do, I'll create the username Proto-Matter.  Or maybe Red-Matter.  Or maybe Whatever-I-Think-Doesn't-Matter.

Analogue fanedits could be made with some film, some tape and a pair of scissors.

Do it!

Of course getting ahold of it is still next to impossible, since my account was banned and I didn't take advantage of the time I had there.

I may still have the digital (non-DVD) version, PM me.

...

For some reason they've unblocked my IP, pesumably for this "celebration" as well.

This is interesting news.  If I get the time to watch it, I wouldn't mind providing a fair review, good or bad.  I'm surprised he's suddenly so open o others' opinions.

Honestly, Anti-Matter has some skills. It's been mentioned before, but his rotoscoping work to remove Jar-Jar from a few scenes was very impressive.

It's been quite a number of years since I've seen the edit, but the problem from me was mostly from the restructured narrative. If Anti-Matter would have been up for more constructive criticism, his edit could have easily ranked pretty high on the list.

It would be cool if he could see that, be open to it, and achieve that amazing edit that was there somewhere.

Unfortunately he decided to arbitrarily ban me from his website when I was actually contributing to conversation quite a bit.

I'm still not sure what happened. Anti, we all know you read this? Honestly, when you banned me, what was the REAL reason? You can PM if you would like to to be private. It won't find itself on here either.

I don't expect a response, but maybe you'll surprise me?

I think he just met an equal amount of Uncle-Matter.

Real reason for them allowing anyone to post reviews.......most probably so they can log everyone's IP address to perma-ban them and then, once they've close off their little world again,  point to any negative reviews and use the high and mighty "look here, this is what jealousy looks like" attitude that they have towards any other fan editing site. (the clue is in rule #4..)

4. The review must be signed by a verifiable screen name in use at the other websites. Please also date the review.

I wouldn't want to waste my time even watching his edits, let alone bothering to write a review. His attitude towards anyone outside of his small group is childish. If you can't take negative criticism then fan editing is the wrong game for you. Same goes for the whole ego stroking he seems to relish on. Fanediting should never be done out of a want for adulation, but for the love of what you do and a want to share with anyone who may be interested in it.

But his attitude towards people here stunk. He jumped down peoples throats when they were genuinly trying to help him and give advice (when he decided to take his edit to his own website).

I'd say to everyone, don't leave any reviews. You're only giving him the attention he craves. If no one bothers to make a single comment or review then he won't have the ammo to throw back at the decent part of the fan editing community to make him feel bigger.

All the reviews (without those sillly limitations) are in his project thread here anyway, so why bother?  He's obviously not interested in constructive criticism.

They are so paranoid over there that any new people are like spies. It's hilarious. I loved this part when he was talking about you Frink;

OMG, what a complete dirt bag. He's trying to take a page out of bootlegger Adywan's book.

ha ha, we're bootleg soul brothers now

My god that douche hasn't got a clue, sitting there on his high and mighty pedestal. But the way they hound anyone who may defend anyone outside of their circle or who questions their actions, is crazy. Dare question the high and mighty Anti-Matter and you are banned. This is the dark side of the fan editing community. Why don't they open up their forums so everyone can see that they have a whole section just trashing people? They try to make out they are respectable community and are morally higher than other sites that may get revenue from advertising, but this whole side of their nature proves otherwise. At least here we trash people openly and allow them to answer back. He's almost like some kind of cult leader (did i spell that correctly? ;) )

They'll probably be checking all the IP addresses of anyone who checked out their site today to try and weed out my IP address so they can block yet another one. Best of luck with that. I checked it out when i was away from home :)

Yeah, I had a good laugh at them taking shots at me when I never asked for or received a single cent.  It was all donations to help with operating costs of FE.org, nothing more.

Aww... now you said the dirty word: FE.org. We are the anti-Christ over there. Nazi's. You name it, we're it.

Which is funny considering how open we, and this site, are. I dunno how they can justify us being such terrible sites. We allow for open registrations, and allow people to post honest unedited reviews, and don't ban people at the drop of the hat. Obviously they have issues, which is clear by the sheer number of users OT.com and FE.org have vs what they have.

Well, they did say anyone with an fe.org account is also welcome to post a review...

...ok, I'll admit I don't know what the hell is going on.  I suspect that adywan is right and they're fishing for IP addresses to block, but the one thing I haven't quite figured out is why they lifted my IP block.

You know, in my dream scenario, one of them comes over here and attempts to engage in some reasonable discussion.

Will never happen, of course.  But it would be interesting and maybe even productiv-

Oh who am I kidding?

ha ha. funny as fuck.

So Anti-matter is now a certified divemaster. Well he certainly should be certified ;)

So now we know his plans. He is building an underwater community where his minions will live for the coming apocalypse. They will be cut off from the rest of the world and they will have a daily morning prayer session where they worship at the alter of the Fan-editing god himself, the superiorly moral Anti-Matter. But his followers will never know that there was no apocalypse because anyone caught going on to any other website than an Anti-Matter approved one, will be forever cast out from his eternal light.

That makes no sense. How can He hate you when He doesn't even know you exist?
