Moth3r said:  What about .avi files, do you say "A. V. I." or "avvy"?

I say the former, a pronunciation I retain when it's part of the word "Avisynth".  I've heard other people say it like this online.  Until now, I have heard only one person pronounce "Avisynth" like the word "avid".

How do people say MeGUI?

I still pronounce "Snickers" as "Marathon" and "Cif" as "Jif" (seriously what is a Cif? What does it mean?).

I don't know what any of this means.

Bingo is referring to name changes that affected two British commercial products, Frink.  The former is a chocolate bar, and the latter, a cleaning product.

I still call "Starburst" "Opal fruits". Dunno if that's just a British thing or not
