Ooh! For those in the UK, "Shattered Glass" is on iPlayer.

Wanted to see this for ages, as it's the only other major role Hayden Christensen ever got. Must have been hard for a new young actor to star in two of the last decades' biggest films, then the phone never rings again (Feel bad for him).

Heard he was outstanding in it... let's find out.

*cough* Awake (2008) *cough*

Jumper had a significant budget and marketing machine behind it.  And IMDB lists four upcoming movies.

Well I kinda feel sorry for him too. I think he is not that bad as an actor. I actually think he did a good job in the prequels. He had to portray this extremely annoying and repulsive character and he did it perfectly.

I remember that movie. Hayden was actually pretty decent in that one - he only gave one line of dialogue I found cringeworthy. The plot kinda floundered halfway through the movie, though, and the supernatural aspect to the plot felt shoehorned in.

Yes as you've all pointed out ^ I was talking sh*t, he's done a few films since. But my general point is still true, Hayden career hasn't been exactly on fire.

I'm sure he's a great actor, but Lucas is a bad director of actors (At least of late). Portman, McGregor, Jackson and even Neeson all give career low performances in the PT. But unlike those guys, with Hayden you couldn't point to 'Leon', 'Trainspotting', 'Pulp Fiction' and 'Schindler's List' to prove it.

VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.

Hayden is an actor, that is all. The others, Portman, Mcgregor, Neeson are 'good' actors. Jackson is a 'great' actor. Much the same as Pacino, De Niro and Nicholson are 'great' actors. The only other 'great' actors to have ever been in Star Wars are Mcguiness and Mcdairmid. That word is banded about too often are far as actors are concerned nowadays with no real substance that it is a deserved description.

I don't mean "Great!" as in, 'Great Britain' or 'Alfred The Great' or 'The Great Train Robbery'...

...I mean more, "That was a great sandwich" lol

When your talking in terms of someone's talent in what they do then it is pertinent. Who's regarded as a great footballer, Lionel Messi or Ryan Shawcross? Great in terms of talent means you are talking in terms of the 'best' in that field. Not, "oh man I just had a great shit."

Has anybody noticed how a bunch of iconic scfi-fi ships are just modified Roswell-Style flying saucers...

Probably exploiting some kind of ingrained DNA based memory of when we built pyramids for our Alien overlords, or some b*llocks like that.

Pfft. Everyone knows that the alien overlords used pyramid ships, not flying saucers.

In the case of Earth Vs. The Flying Saucers and Forbidden Planet, the 50's were the height of UFO mania. Ray Harryhausen even spoke with some alleged abductees in preparing EVTFS.

The final design of the Millennium Falcon as we know it had more to do with what someone at ILM had for lunch. ;)

Oh yeah... I stand corrected. I was forgetting this amazing 1994 documentary:

Ok don't beat me up... But I had an controversial idea a few weeks back and it's still there in the back of my mind I wanted some feedback on it....

Return of the Jedi - Emperors throne room

Luke is being electrocuted by the emperors force lightning

Vader grabs the emperor and throws him down to his death.

Luke lays still, motionless (He is Dead)

Vader while clutching on to the railings raises a hand towards luke

Luke comes back to life.

This Idea is based on the darth plaguies mythology "he was powerfull enough to save others from death but not himself" The whole reason Anakin went dark in the first place... Take it in think about it... If you hate it or like it let me know.

Also consider the dialogue between Luke and Vader and how in terms of Luke was Dead and brought back to life by Vader how it would change the emotional context of the lines.

also Vader won't be having a force ghost that's his redemption right there...I am generally not in favour of any changes to the OT to fit with the PT but I am willing to make an exception perhaps on this one if it worked that is.

Well it is not completely dumb idea, considering it is PT related. Of course I would not accept it in reality. Still, you need to consider that OT is to be watched first and PT second. I don't know if this change would make any sense to the audience when viewing the films in correct order (ie order of release).

It might make sense by the last film?

I am a strong believer in almost writing off the PT as non existant almost... But that particular mythology and story and if you like bait from palps I liked.

Also if you take the ambiguity of Anakins immaculate conception he could well have been created by Plaguies before Palps killed him in his sleep and as his revenge against deceit.

So like you say I would not want to change the OT to fit with the PT but if I did that is the only one I would remotely consider.

Watching films correctly (in order of release) and starting with EP4... I doubt it would make sense in ROTJ. It would make sense after people watched ROTS yes.

If Vader resurrects Luke from death in episode 6 afterwards in episode 3 you learn about it and have to backtrack it but the revelation is given.

It's a fair point but It does not have to make sense sometimes things are better left a mystery until they are finally revealed or in some instances remain ambiguous....
