Virtual Dub 64 bit won't install on Windows 7

Virtual Dub won't work. I've installed before with avisynth, and avidemux and it messed up my windows media player, so I went with vlc media player. One of the problems I have is still that I uninstalled it about a month ago, and now can't get it installed right. It never works, any help would be appreciated. I have windows 7. I need some pointers on how to work it and install it.

Virtual dub has no installation, you just unrar the archive it came in and it works. What's your specific problem? If the 64 bit version doesn't work, just use the x86, I use it all the time and I have Win7 64 bit.
