LOL funny, the flying R2 sequence was what I had in mind when I posted my random thought.

Although I am happy (kinda) he will remain involved, as he is the official reference for anything Star Wars. Lucas, unfortunately, isn't the best when it comes to continuity. The flying R2 is a good example... The bad thing of prequels, is they open themselves to contradictions if they are not careful. And the prequels do introduce a few of them. Perhaps the new ones (Disney), will be more vigilant when it comes to this.

As for how much "input" he'll have? I'll bet a lot unfortunately.. Lets hope he doesn't conjure up something that goes against what is already established... because if he does that means another Special Edition box set to try and fix everything again...
