I'm just going to repost this, considering it was lost in pointless banter:

On a more serious note, was anything done to fix the distance between Luke and the Wampa when he swipes? Either via roto, the new Wampa, trimming an edit, or moving the sound of the cut/Wampa scream over the next shot (clean shot of snow) prior to the arm falling into frame?

The pacing in this scene was always so gripping and tense for me as a child (in a good way), right up until luke swipes at nothing while we hear the cut/scream and then see the hand fall into frame.

Not a suggestion as much as mere curiosity.
