Hilarious reading Osbourne trying to claim credit for this.

He takes away money from the sick and disabled but claims to give us back Star Wars primacy via tax cuts for the mega rich.

I seem to remember a number of Harry Potter films being made here without him being the the chancellor.

Osbourne's a weasly little shit. Quoted at the end of his tweet, 'may the force be with us' (sickbag) he's got one of them faces you'd just love to slap. A big DRY slap.

Does the Star Wars stage still exist?

I was there last year for the Star Wars event. Most of the stages are still there but some were demolished some time back. A huge supermarket now stands where the Ewok Village once stood so you need to head for the fishcounter in the store for that spot !

The event was held in stage 7.This Stage was home to: The Lar's Kitchen, The Anchorhead Power Station and Ben Kenobi's house.

In Return of the Jedi: Jabbas dungeon corridor, cell and boiler room, Rancor pit and holding tunnel.

Stage 1 below...

Your friendly neighborhood moderator kindly suggests: Let's keep politics out of this thread. Okay?

And let's hope it's kept to the minimum in the next trilogy too!...

It's been a little surreal to see the fuss today on our (UK) tv news channels concerning this latest development.

Pity the accompanying clips of the OT's current colouration looked awful compared to adywan's 'revisited' work though. :P

Ady totally needs to take the short trip down the road next year to meet Chewie and the gang, and keep J.J. right.

Sorry, but this kinda brings a smile to my face. I thought it was just Brits like me who got shafted over content. I pay my money to Netflix and only get a 10th of the content that US subscribers get.

It's a very good program with Mark Kermode presenting (aka "The good doctor", Britain's premier film critic and skiffle musician).  You've probably seen some of his documentaries on DVD extras about Aliens, The Devils, The Shawshank Redemption and The Exorcist.

I'll try and upload this JJ special somehow for US fans to watch (Just promise to buy a Doctor Who boxset or two to put some money into the fine coffers of the Beeb).

Yeah it's a good interview. I like Kermode but its not very extensive. Just a brief history of JJ and what he's been up to the last 10 years. Star Wars is mentioned but not by JJ.

Yes more of an insight into his creative methods. His Bad Robot office sounds awesome!

Yeah admittedly that place did look VERY cool. JJ comes across as a good guy. Never really paid attention to him before, but the more I see and hear from him? I like the man.

So, how do we know J.J. isn't George's clone? ;)

I bought the Superman Blu-ray set from Amazon in the U.K.  Does that count?  :-)

No, almost the oposite! Amazon operate in the UK while semi-fraudulently paying practically zero tax using an off-shore loophole, so we can all have cheap DVDs while Hospitals get closed down. But I'll send you the link anyway ;-)

Also the BBC's 'Kermode and Mayo's film reiews' podcast (On it's 12th year, highly reccomended for any film fanatics!) can be download at:

J.J. is on The Daily Show tonight. Star Wars is briefly discussed.

^ It seemed like most of the interview was about SW. And when JJ talked about ST, he mostly discussed that he didn't enjoy ST as a kid.

“Grow up. These are my Disney's movies, not yours.”

It was cool to watch the TV interviews of JJ Abrahams. I sure did enjoyed the 8MM movie. Look forward to watch this too.
