Thinking about the Wampa cave and that it will be take back to more it's original state...

The main thing that bothered me is that the Wampa got his arm cut off from the shoulder and Luke never did and overhead downward or upward vertical swipe with lightsabre.

It was more of a horizontal swing which would have never managed to cut the creature in that way we see and also when you take into account it's size... His Hand being lobbed off would be far better than his whole arm.

*Edit*

Ok cool that awful scene is being cut thank god might be good to see the shot of his head roaring again at this point where he attacks luke and the taun taun but with a cave background.

A possible way to add in tension and keep the SE music score would be using dripping icicles as a device for scenes of the wampa being cut... It's like a clock or constant but accentuated.

This may work very well to achieve a tension similar to the original or improve upon the original whilst preserving the SE score or just be a clever trick to show even less WAMPA. But I am certainly looking forward to this monster moment this may even be a better start to the sequence.

I'd even go as far to say the awful shot from the original where we see part of him walking would be better only seeing a bit of fur and some steamy breath.. or something like this..

Better he springs out of nowhere like he did before.

Better stock footage that is free to use of Icicles melting

even if only to help animate the cave a bit better visual enhancement

We don't need melting icicles. Hoth is -3,000,000*C. Why would ice melt in the Wampa's lair? Unless the Wampa lit a match, there should be no melting ice. If we have melting icicles in the Wampa's lair, them Echo Base should be melted from all the heat from the machines and wires/cables.

Where on earth did you get that number for the temperature of Hoth or that flawed logic on how ice works? The ice would be melting because of the heat contained inside the cave being emitted by Luke and the Wampa. Secondly, lighting a match wouldn't suddenly make everything that much warmer. Third, the ice walls in Echo Base should be wet, but not completely melted. Ice works to contain heat - that means it can remain cold from the freezing temp outside whilst containing the heat inside, without melting the wall. People light fires in igloos that reach over a 100*C, and the igloos remain in tact AND contain the heat inside.

If you sit in a car in the winter time, eventually, the windows fog up and the car gets warm because of people's body temperatures. Thing of how much heat the Wampa alone gives off if it can survive on Hoth.
