Could ya continue this under the Bootleg thread?

This thread is about the Many Versions of the films not the bootlegs

BTW

- Cool deal for eBay ! (Is that my covers CD - I did post in the NFO NOT to sell this on eBay in ANY WAY)

- DUDE your also gonna kill my bandwidth and maybe even this sites by posting an almost direct link to the torrents on eBay I posted these for the forums members - that's also the reason I've also kept it off Supernove.org (for now until there are MORE seeds and I can stop seeding myself - - Either way this may draw WAY too much attention to the boards.

I just received my S.E. set for $35.00. Nice little bonus on ROTJ with the featurette after the trailer.......great to see this progress on such a task. I am also glad to know I got a deal on the "Faces" set. Seems I chose wisely. Are there any better quality versions of these around? I have been to Mr. Prillamans site and it seems that it can be hard to keep track of all the different layouts of these sets. I actually wanted the ones spoken about with the scene selections menu (Definitive Collection). All the great reading here leads me to believe that it all depends on who is doing the transfer. Some being simple while others having some "thought out" design. I can think of no better compliment to those like Rikter and TR47 then to have a little extra after the work to make the work better. KUDOS to you guys.

I wonder how long until someone gets around to editing out all the SE stuff...

I edited a few lines that seemed screwy...

All this under a Oxycodone/apap induced haze

wondering where u got the se set with the featurette and the end of jedi??
my five star version doesnt have it???

If you have the dual layered factory pressed "5 Star" version, the featurette appears after the ROTJ SE trailer. The featurette is not listed on the menu. Some people miss it if they don't view the trailer or don't watch it all the way through.

I am working on a review of the SE DVD9 set right now but it will be a bit. I am not as knowledgeable in the technical side as alot of you are so I need to make sure that what I "like" and don't like are seperated properly. Layman's terms in other words.

Keep your eye out........

The OT RULES!!!!

(For those who like these versions anyways)

Yea, no one here does that. Those Ebay idiots however, do. The only money you will pay here is for shipping of the disc and/or price of a DVD R, I believe.

Hmm, I find that remark odd. Both TR47 & Rikter sells the OT Set - for few bucks higher even - than the set mentioned a few post back. Is that for DVD-R´s alone shipping included?

For all the time and effort these guys put into making these sets for everyone to enjoy, I think $25-$35 is completely reasonable, considering that the OT will "never" be released on DVD. Thanks guys for all your hard work!

I keep my price somewhat inflated because of high demand-but even in doing so, I am literally flooded with orders. If I was only charging disc +ship cost, I would never be able to do anything but burn copies for people. I hope you can understand this-also please consider that seeding a torrent makes you a much more vulnerable target to being tracked via your IP address, which is something I do not want. I know most of the pitfalls associated with file sharing, and so I stay off the p2p networks most of the time as this is where most of the attention is focused currently. If my price is too high, I understand but am not concerned.

TR47 has very good points

Filesharing - That's why I only upload the torrent then drop them from my home PC the minute there is another seeder + I use a remote PC to seed them

Duplicating - It takes time and effort ~ I have a fulltime job and a family and can burn in my spare time SO it might take me a bit to get them to you.

Either way download them for free or hit me or TR47 up for a set

Who were you replying to? You'd pay more just for your discs than I do just for the 8X media, and I've said before time is effort and that effort deserves some amount of payment. If I was under very high demand, I'd buy a 2nd burner, increase my price to pay it off and dual-burn. What do I charge - $24 (US$17) inc post ($4 less for Aussies), a new burner might cost $120. If I increased it to $36 (US$25) then that would be $12 extra/sale = 10 sales to pay off burner. Easy. And I concur with P2P.

I seem to have also gottrn of track here

- Please can we keep this thread for reviews of the DVD's

Not for justifications or who has a bigger saber?

Let's all try to keep the topic of sales or trading under the Bootleg DVD thread

I was just making a statement based on some previous comments in this thread. I already have plans to upgrade my production capabilities and will most likely be using Taiyo Yuden media once it's operational.

- DVDr, VCD and SVCD versions are known to exist but are now very hard to find

In the original theatrical version, when C-3PO is firing on the Jedi, he said "Die Jedi Scum." The word "scum" was removed from all subsequent versions. In fact, if you listen closely to the current DVD version, you can still hear 3PO begin to make the "s" sound before his voice cuts out. However, in the Australian DVD release (at least) the word 'Scum' has been replaced with 'Guards'

- SOURCES: www.imdb.com and edited by me

hmm thats strange in my version C-3PO says "Die Jedi Dogs" i have the Australian DVD

Yeah that's a sham. Is it fixed in "The Clone War"?

Has anyone gone after creating "True Theatrical Versions" of the prequels, ala editing of the DVDs?

Things like cutting out extra lines added for the DVD, the extra podrace lap, and air taxi scene.
For AOTC, just cut the few lines that were added/changed.

This would be the preceding for MagnoliaFan's Pre-ANH edit. Getting as nickpickingly close to the theatrical versions as possible. I believe what we already have for ESB and ROTJ is 100% theatrical, so nothing to worry about there.

My stance on revising fan edits.

MagnoliaFan, I've seen your edits and I wonder why you deleted the cockpit scenes in the beginning of both episode I and II. Not that I think those changes are bad, I'm just curious.

here here!

I agree - Some folks like the Edits others don't

I love these Edits curses and all!!
