The 2nd clip is fantastic, except for the overlay of the stars. It goes on for too long and has too much motion & continuity for a star-sweeping montage-style overlay.
It's been too long since I've seen in the film to really comment on the first one, but it seemed to work pretty well. Something felt slightly off about the cuts between scenes, like it was too sudden or not sudden enough, but I really am not sure what. It worked.
