They have used some of the original scripts and designs. It began as a series called New Voyages I think, but they changed it to a re-creation of Phase II halfway into it.
But it is campy as crap, and is horribly acted. Despite being well funded, and having original cast members making guest appearances, they feel like mediocre fan films. The writing is really awful too. It would be pretty cool if it wasn't such an amateur feeling production.
