Well, it simply seems implausible given the other Star Wars lore surrounding the events of Tours. It seems to me that people just cram in so much stuff that Luke must have been off saving the Galaxy every single day since ANH, with two vacation days a month. And in spite of the Empire's swift collapse, in too many cases it has more resources at its disposal than the New Republic. It just feels inconsistent and unbelievable.

Maybe they changed it since the early days of the ride, but you could see the Death Star blow up on the cockpit monitor that showed Artoo and rebel pilots.
