But something else that has occurred to me also is Anakin in TPM really felt nothig like a slave.. There was nothing beating on him and making him do things he did not want to do... It would have greatly improved the plot if he was actually a slave and showed perhaps battle droids (although better designed ones) or slave masters oppressing anakin in an underground mine or something... That to actually break free from this would have felt liberating him was a real achievement and explain why in later films he was messed up As it's obviously what the plot is, but it was never shown on screen to make it a plot or demonstrated to the audience.

Mining for crystals or mineral ore that is used to power ships being thrown scraps of food while everyone fights over what is theres Being laser whpiped and being held in shackles would have achieved this.

To re-film another Anakin that was actually a slave would really help improve Anakins Arc...
