I'm surprised nobody has deconstructed the film as a metaphor for George's marital issues at the time.
Disregarding the EU, I'd like to see Cindel come back as a New Republic ambassador to Endor, have a tender reunion with Wicket that becomes a steamy affair. Then, everything is upended by a very much alive Mace, (no, the first one) who's gone all Colonel Kurtz, and now rules the Dulocks.
Bring back Wilford Brimley too, and fess up to the the fact his character and Teek represented the first old gay couple in the SW franchise. ;)
