The context of my post was the source files that the Russian x264 encoder used (HDNet). It will take a few weeks before I have the files. When I do they will be on Usenet and perhaps elsewhere.

What about the other two movies in the trilogy? Are they screwed up as well?

Do we need dvdmike for those? ( Thank you dvdmike BTW, way out and above the call IMO for your time and efforts)

I love everybody. Lets all smoke some reefer and chill. Hug and kisses for everybody.

edit:  If you look at the last couple posts by drngr you'll see he's uploading 2 and 3.  I don't think dvdmike has the other ones anyway.

Ah very good. These movies are special to me in particular because I've met and talked to Michael and his wife, Tracy. They are special people who aren't all spoiled by their fame and fortune.

I love everybody. Lets all smoke some reefer and chill. Hug and kisses for everybody.

Noone interested in checking out the checksum value?

vbangle, you've just downloaded the file. Can you perhaps take a look at it? With HJSplit you display the checksum of the joined file.

Author

Checksum = 192127318

Atleast that's what hj-split says it is.

Is this the joined 14-15 Gbyte file? Can't be. My checksum is F314711CD228BFBCF3A1AEF2EA085012 (displayed with HJSplit v3.0)

I recorded the 1st movie from Encore Avenue HD the other day but the compression is laughable. The stream is MPEG-2 12.8Mbps 1080i but it must have been recompressed a couple times before being sent over the cable system to end up like this. My lower-bitrate 720p capture from a satellite commercial channel looks better.

Comparisons: http://imgbox.com/g/WJyU10Cn6i (Blu-ray, WOWOW shots from AVS, Space HD, Encore Avenue HD)

It's available On Demand again but my BlackMagic capture device has stopped working with my SSD. Fun.

Please do check part two.  I really would like to finally have a good HD part 2.

2 & 3 HDNet captures are now on Usenet and the bay by which buccaneers congregate (3 posted twice by mistake -- later torrent preferred but it's the same .ts).

Love the first comment.

I just looked at Part II.  This is the best I've ever seen it look.  I don't know how this uncompressed HDnet capture compares to WOWOW or Canal+ but since it doesn't have logos or hard-coded subtitles I think it's the best one to have. Would be nice if part I of these captures wasn't lost.

It does have a logo in the bottom-right for a short while, I think about halfway through.

Canal+ shots for 2 are still up here.

I thought the HDnet versions were no good, low bit bate and some DNR I did get them off that place and posted here and I thought we all decided we wanted the wowow or canal +

The HDnet versions that were no good with low bit rate etc; were the highly compressed versions from rutracker.  drngr just uploaded the uncompressed source files he found to usenet and TPB.  I have both the compressed and uncompressed of Part II HDnet and the uncompressed looks WAY better than the compressed.

Having a logo for a few seconds during a movie doesn't bother me. (HDnet)  Having a logo for the duration is another matter. (Canal +)

Oh! I thought you meant that a DMCA takedown notice was issued and you were watching the individual RARs disappear from Usenet, one-by-one. lol!

A guy on AVS once posted BTTF shots he claimed came from the DCP. Maybe just kidding around and posting WOWOW frames. I don't know how the compression/grain level on that compares.

Damn, this dude seems to have an uncompressed source. Look all the details there is in the picture, it almost looks like a raw 35mm scan of the whole movie.

I do not download anything, but if they carelessly fall off the internet onto my HDD then that is hardly may fault.

And I have to say I am far from impressed, they are still the same interpolated rips just with slightly better compression.

As to the AVS thread I remember that argument well, the supposed US DCP had no DNR but the UK version I saw 100% looked like the blu-ray as I commented a few pages back when i saw it before the disc came out.

I have no idea where those shots are from as I understand it you can't screen shot a DCP file due to encryption, you can with trailers however.
