i'm sure ady knows about the scene in rotj where luke talks to leia asking her if she remembers her mom.and leia replies just images,feelings really.saying she remembers her being very beautiful but sad.there is no way leia could remember her mother.it's a shame lucas didn't have padme dying by the emperor torturing her to find out where she hid the baby.lucas should have waited also till the babies were at least 2 or 3 so what leia says makes sense.lucas obviously didn't think this through.you think someone at ilm would have said something to him about this when he was making rots.but i have a feeling he surrounds himself with yes men.

As much as I loathe the prequels, I had never had a problem with Leia's line in ROTJ and Padme dying at that point in ROTS matching up. We are talking about Force-sensitive children here, and it's perfectly possibly that Leia was more aware of something of her mother when born than Luke was. They didn't have to be on equal Force-sensitivity footing at that point. In fact, I think it makes it more interesting if you think that Leia was actually the more potentially powerful one and they picked Luke seemingly at the flip of a coin.

Sounds good, although I do wonder how you're going to accomplish this without Vader just turning up seemingly out of nowhere, and how you're going to manage the Obi-Wan vs Anakin fight. At first I thought you'd move the duel back to the end of AOTC, then have Vader present for the whole of ROTS but confused myself because I couldn't see how you'd still have the big opening battle in ROTS! lol

I think the issue people had with Boba's death is not the finality of it, but the fact that it's death by slapstick. The finality of it seemed pretty clear in the Special Edition being eaten by the Sarlaac 'beak'. It would probably seem more elegant if the shot just cut after he slides off the side of the barge and then we never saw him again (ie he could be alive), just because, as a death, it seems pretty silly to be killed by a malfunctioning jetpack hit by a blind man.

I crapped my pants when I saw the Hoth battle clip! Especially the scene where we see the tons of walkers for the first time.

I don't think there's a trampoline, but after Vader is knocked off the freezing platform, Luke turns off his lightsaber & jumps after him. After he lands, his head pops back into frame, showing that the actor didn't jump as far as you'd hoped. Ady erased the head.

Yeah, that's a very very very good idea. Boba Fett fans just can't get enough. What, we see him for a total of about 10 minutes in V and VI.

I think I'm going to buy it. I have one of the old Kenner AT-AT, but this starship modeler just kicks butt. The one thing I find funny on the webpage is the size label: "A matter of some debate".

Remember as the article points out and as Ady's comparison shows, the kit is only the base. It takes a lot of work to get it looking like the Walkers in the films.

But still, the model (not adywan's fixed version) looks very best. The best one've I seen since the first one ever came out. Let's see, that was about 33 years ago. After searching this long, we've actually have one that almost resembles the film's model.
