I haven't posted on here in a while so, this might be a bit lengthy.
1. The Battle of Hoth scenes look incredible. While some of the elements have a slight hint of a CG look to them, they are nowhere nearly as bad as the ones in the Special Editions. It always boggles my mind that ILM could make dinosaurs look amazing in the original Jurassic Park and then could do such shoddy work in the SE.
2. The largest reservation that I have about tackling 5 films at once is that we likely will not see anything for roughly 10-15 years. Granted, it has been a long and worth-while wait for ESB:R, but, without a larger team and resources there would be HUGE wait to see the results. That and this would force me to buy the Prequel Trilogy on Blu-Ray much earlier than I had anticipated.
3. I like the changes proposed for the PT. Anakin and Vader appearing as separate characters is genius, if it can be pulled off correctly. For all intents and purposes Anakin "dies" after the battle with Obi-Wan, both to the viewer and to Obi-Wan himself.
4. I disagree with Bingowings on the point about the droids. The fact is, at the end of the 3rd Prequel before the ownership of the droids being handed over, it is asked that their memories be wiped, just to correct the fact that they seem to have no knowledge of Darth Vader, Anakin or anything else in the OT.
The fact is, it would be much more logical to have the droids serve SOME purpose in the PT but, not enough to the point of being "significant". This would account for R2's "wisdom" about some things, seeing as the memory wipe mentioned in the 3rd Prequel wouldn't have to happen.
5. Dang I wish I lived in the UK and could directly help with this!
