Ep VII is the first in a TRILOGY OF FILMS.........something could pop up in the 2nd or 3rd film (a decade from now) that might not add up with Revisited....either way, we're not waiting around to find out.

Revisited will NOT work within official canon...Ady's decisions vis a vis the PT have already decided this. The ST not syncing up won't change anything as Revisited will already be a different canon.
