Episode III: Revenge of the Ridiculousness — Page 7

I like the idea of Scooby Doo for the voice of Grevious.

Also, this might be a good source for new Vader dialogue.

This too (though probably less usable, due to the background music).

I was listening to the new BBC radio adaptation of Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere the other day and Christopher Lee is in episode 2.

He says a few class lines, like, "Plump up my cushions!".

It's a good adaptation anyway so it's worth checking out.

More thoughts. The scene where Anakin and Padme stare out the window for half an hour could benefit from random shots of other characters, as both have their train of thoughts derail thinking about other people. Random voice overs could come and go as well? ;)

Something like this would be fun (actually it could work if you put the birth of the rebellion scene in).

If you go with Liam for Grevious, I'm watching a creepy movie he's in on ThisTv right now called "After.Life", with some choice dialog about death.

Grievous could also be Anakin's mum back from the dead which would explain why Anakin gets so miffed after Kenobi kills her again.

Then he ends up a cyborg, just like his momma.

That's sick and twisted idea! I'm not sure there's enough Pernilla August dialog in TPM to make it work. A brief perusal of her credits on the IMDB shows a lot of her other movies may only be in Swedish. It's a longshot if she's done any English dubs...

Oo! Oo! I have idea! How about the first thing Darth Vader says when put in the suit is 'Are you an angel?" (In James Earl Jones' voice of course) When Palpatine says no, he rips out his table-thingy and screams "Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!"

Pernilla was Mary to Batman's Jesus.

I was also thinking the telly Skeletor would work as a Grevious voice and Anakin could keep yelling "I have the POWER!".

Obi-Wan's lizard bird thing could roar like battlecat.

The last minute or so actually syncs with Obi Wan handing off baby Luke.

Beru can say "hello" again. Baby Luke could cry until Owen looks away from him. Also, you could have Cleigg Lars still muttering about those vicious mushrooms off camera somewhere...

As I mentioned in the AOTR thread, there is some strangely humorous dialogue from Christopher Lee in Gremlins 2: The New Batch. Some of it may work.

The "lightsaber" duel from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back could be incorporated into the Order 66 montage.

Just a few ideas.

Grevious update.

I'm warming to the idea of using Roberto.  I looked up the script for "Insane in the Mainframe" and he's got a ton of great lines.  The big problem is that he doesn't appear many other times in the show.  I'll have to see if there's enough to use.

Grevious doesn't exactly have a whole lot of lines to begin with. (For all the pre-release hype about him, he's not in the movie all that much.) It would add to his character if he babbles incoherently at times. He sounds like he's yelling gibberish in the final fight with Kenobi anyway. ;)

I was already using theinfosphere for the scripts, but I didn't think about seeing who else Mr. Herman voiced.  Not sure if any of the other characters sound enough alike, but worth checking into.  Thanks.
