I prefer things like MultiAVCHD, Handbrake, DVD Auio Extractor, etc... I just like easy user interface software. As far as I know these are the 'cream of the crop' and are free (Handbrake is decent too):
BD Rebuilder (I think this is the only one that can do a FULL BD to AVCHD conversion complete with menus, extras etc;,)
