I was first introduced to the name Figrin D'an I think when I read "Tales from Jabba's Palace". I didn't know who the name of the character in the film until I read the book.

Because I am a muso and my name is Dan, I thought, quite fitting! I now use it in all my forums.

What is a muso?

If you don't mind me asking.

In addition to being a Star Wars fan, I've always been a huge history enthusiast. One of my favorite topics is the Arthurian legend, and the knights and their quests (not strictly history, but who cares?). Lancelot has always probably been my favorite, but I feel more of a kinship to Galahad's portrayal, struggling to maintain purity and knightly ideals in a world where only the purest knight is permitted to set eyes upon the Holy Grail. Add the name of Galahad to the last name of my favorite Star Wars character (Luke), and you have my forum name (which I've started using as my almost exlusive online identity).

Great topic, Luke!

As I explained before: first letters from my first name, middle name and surname, plus birthdate. Nothing special.
I wanted some sort of ID number (sounding like, say, TK-421) matching my "Imperial TIE Fighter pilot" avatar. I use it on other Star Wars forums, too.

Warbler, I also liked WC2 a lot, it was one of my first own PC games! Good ol' times...
I saw the original theatrical release of the Old Trilogy on the big screen and I'm proud of it...
How did I accomplish that (considering my age) is my secret...

"What... is your name?"
"Sir Galahad of Camelot."
"What... is your quest?"
"I seek the holy grail."
"What... is your favorite colour?"
"Blue. No! Yeaahhhhh" *thrown into the pit*

I thought that was the reason you had that name... Monty Python and the Holy Grail... The only movie I've watched more times than SW.

Hey Motti, you should take advantage of this thread to finally tell us all what the soL means since you maintain it doesn't stand for Shit Outta Luck.

But that's not what Motti's shooting for with it. Knowing him, he has specific reason for the choice of those letters as well as for picking to have the first two lowercased and the final one capitalized. He just won't share that "specific reason".

Yeah, but you're not the one with a mysterious name, Ric. So, no cookies for you!

I'll trade a VHS copy of the 1997 SE trilogy for 5 chocolate cookies.
