The part I don't get is that they claimed that they were unprepared for the amount of players. Now my math may not be the best but if you produce and ship [and sell!] X amount of units - shouldn't you expect X amount of customers?

I have friends with 360s and Wiis who will eventually want to upgrade.

So if I eventually do want to move into generation 7 I would have to find some other source for PS3 games and who wants to trust a sony owned cloud?

As for the fragility of the 7th gens. My 360, as far as I know (been having trouble getting it back from a girl*), still works. It is from 2008. It is a jasper unit, one of the last models before the slim design came out, those models are suppose to have a very low failure rate.

My PS3 slim died eleven months after the date of purchase (brand new). Almost missed the warranty on that one. I barely used it during those eleven months. Months would pass by without me ever turning it on, and I think I have yet to beat a single game on it. While on the phone trying to work out getting it fixed, the guy kept trying to sell me a warranty, saying it was very likely the refurbished model they are going to send me as a replacement could very likely fail within another eleven months and that paying $99 for a 3 year guarantee would be prudent. I told him if they are really that fragile and it dies again in less than a year, my 360 and I will just have to go on without it.

Exactly, good sir. Surely, life is easier for the gay man. Less estrogen to deal with.

Of course, you've shared your past tales of woe, so I'm sure we are all just doomed the same.

I was a big fan of the original Starcraft and even designed a few maps (never quite perfected), which may be found on the Net. Sadly, the main site I uploaded them to purged its database years ago, so I don't think the newest versions are anywhere except on one of my computers in storage. But that's besides the point. I wanted to see if anyone has purchased Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm, and what they think of it.

As a cheap gamer and big Starcraft 1 fan, I wasn't thrilled with the distribution of Starcraft 2: WoL as 'a game that will always be full price'.  I eventually got it for $10-$15 about 6 months ago (2.5 years after release)and started playing it.  I'm almost done and have really enjoyed it... but it kind of sucks that it's mostly just Terrans.  I am looking forward to HotS, but I figure it might be when the Protoss expansion comes out that HotS will be inexspensive.

So no... I don't have it.  :(

Having a blast playing Shadows of the Empire. I couldn't get it to run past the Hoth Battle before but I updated the N64 emulator and now I'm Dashing all over the place.

SIX MORE DAYS!!!

Starting to get very desperate to get my Xbox back.

Is anyone else here frozen with ridiculous anticipation for the Oculus Rift.  I didn't order one, but should be able to see one a week or so after they start shipping.  I'm pretty sure I'm going to order one then.

Which... brings me back to Bioshock.  If I already had a next gen console, it would be harder not to drop $60 on it.  But I don't, and I don't have a gaming PC that would do it justice.  But if

1. I get a Rfit

2. Inifinite supports Rift

3. I get a beefy PC to match my Rift...

Then I'll get Infinite for PC.  Splinter Cell 5 be darned.

I just bought a boxed limited edition Hello Kitty Dreamcast. Apparently they only made 1500 of them. At least now I have a Japanese version of the system that I can play all these dating simulators on. It's not as cool as Bioshock though.

FIVE DAYS over here. The perks of being 1 day in the future..[or close enough to]

Is anyone really developing for the Rift outside of John Carmack? - Cool if so but I haven't really heard much of anything.

The oddest part is that many of them are deluxe box sets that come with a japanese fan, a kitchen clock, a towel with a picture of an anime chick serving food in panties and a plastic figure. I have no idea what it all means. I am going to blatantly take advantage of my japanese friend to make sense of all this.

I saw that....and that.

Just got to a point in Sim City where my City is actually getting interesting...and I've filled the entire map :(

On the up side, EA have offered me a free game for my [sim city server] troubles. I chose Dead Space 3. It'll take about a while to download on my sad connection but hey - a free game is a free game :)

wrapping up other unfinished games while waiting for BIOSHOCK. Getting back into the DOOM 3 [bfg edition] extra missions. Might try taking the 64bit version of RAGE for a spin if i have the time. Thinking about grabbing the RAGE mod tools but it looks to be a pretty hefty download :(

Hasn't anyone else played The Walking Dead yet?

I seriously need to find time to play through Super Castlevania IV.

The same goes for Castlevania and Castlevania III, but I'm staying far far away from Castlevania II.

I'm sick of seeing the cartridges collect dust on my shelf.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.

I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

Team Fortress 2 is already ready to work with it. I read the set up instructions on the TF2 wiki last night.

If you mean Telltale's The Walking Dead, then yes I play every Telltale game as they're released. If you mean Survival Instinct....

Apparently many of them featured "H material" that was sanitized for the Dreamcast versions...I'm assuming H stands for Hentai. I don't know if they will really be playable though since they are dialogue heavy and in Japanese, but I'm pretty curious now.
