I want some!
I want some!
I definitely need a partner for this. I don't need technical help, but I do need someone to assist in planning and review.
My time-management is poor, at best.
Also, it'd be nice to have someone with whom I can discuss the various issues I encounter along the way; a second opinion is always helpful.

I wish!
In fact, I hit a snag early-on: I have to re-install PFClean. The VirtualBox VM I have it running in is totally b0rked. :-/

Why do you have to run it in a VM? Can't you just block the software with your firewall? (Assuming that's the reason)
Anyway, looking forward to see your results!

I'm running a 32-bit OS (Windows XP Home) on a 64-bit CPU, but PFClean requires a 64-bit OS, so I'm using Windows XP Professional x64 in the VM.
I don't want to dual-boot and I can't install any 64-bit OS on my machine because I use certain (older) hardware devices with drivers that explicitly require Windows XP 32-bit, nothing more or less.

any Deleted Scene finished?

Unfortunately, no. I've had quite a bit going on outside of OT for the past few months, so I really haven't had the time to do much.
I'll continue working as soon as I can.

Alright, AntcuFaalb:
What do you need (if anything) from us to make this happen? Seeing these deleted scenes restored will put your name in the credits of fanedits for years to come.
For me, it's "Jerjerrod's Conflict" in ROTJ — gives me chills just thinking about how awesome it would be to put that scene back in. I watched it again last night, making the edits in my head. I'm sure there are plenty of others here that think about the same things.
So if there's anything we can do to get this back on track, let us know. I want to see this happen and I think you are our only hope.

ziggyonice: I now have everything setup again, so I should be able to restart my work on this project.
What would be helpful to have are:
1 shot-change frame numbers for each deleted scene
2 frame numbers for clearly destroyed frames in each deleted scene
3 a partner to correct (in, e.g., Photoshop) said destroyed frames

It might be a handy audition tool to publish a nearly destroyed frame and a nearby nearly complete frame so we can test our ability to help.
Then it would be just be a matter of farming the frames out to people with the time and the skill.

Alright, it's been a couple months, but it's summer now and I have some spare time. If you're interested, then I'm interested. I want to see this project happen.
Getting you the frame numbers shouldn't be too difficult (although I do need to order a new Bluray drive, mine was recently fried).
On the Photoshop side of things, I'm totally in. I can defintely help to get destroyed frames fixed up. I don't have access to PFClean though, so that'll have to be on you. I'm not a professional clean-up artist or anything, but I'm pretty decent.
If you're interested, let me know.

Is anyone interested in restored versions of the OT deleted scenes included in the 2011 Blu-ray set?
I can do the restoration in PFClean.
(Note: I'm putting this in the Fan Edits subforum because I assume that it will appeal primarily to Fan Editors.)
Yes. Definitely. Unfortunately the only thing I can offer you is "moral support" :-)
I actually found this web-site many moons ago looking for this sorta thing. War of the Stars 2 included some the scenes from the Blu-Ray but not as extened cut per-se.
Try A Digital Man or The Hand Behind The Mask at fan-edit.org maybe if they can help.
Work it.
The primary issue I'm running into now is that my computer isn't sufficiently powerful and I don't have the funds to build a better one.
It runs PFClean fine when I feed it SD material, but stepping up to HD material makes each and every little operation take that much longer.
Restoration is an experimental process, so most of the work involves applying a transformation, stepping through many frames to see if it was an acceptable one (e.g., no artifacts), and then repeating the process over again when you realize that it wasn't (this is usually the case).
When it takes ~1 minute to preview a frame... well, you get the idea.

Common problem for most of us with even the most modern set-ups i'm afrid. It took me 16 hours to re-encode a "better the than Blu-Ray release" of a HD-DVD, but it was worth it, for the audio alone.
Mind you, that is a little laboured AntcuFaalb. What are you running?

Erm, stickle point now.
Memrory is okay, GPU is a little dated but okay, i guess. Processor is having to work hard though. There is your problem with HD stuff. As i said, all current PC's struggle somewhat with HD. Though i personally think its fabricated to be that way.
