I would like it using only the oot as a starting point and pretend the 90's and 2000's prequels never happened.

If any prequel material needs be used at all which i don't think needs to be done it should be based on the old sketched out and never shot prequels of the 70's and 80's.

Many things hashed out by Lucas and Kurtz were either abandoned or combined to make the trilogy wrap up in a neat bow. Leia made the sister, when the sister was not to appear until the second trilogy. The Emperor appeared earlier he was not supposed to show up til the second trilogy.

Kenobi had two pupils Skywalker and Vader well Lucas just decided to combine them on Empire.

All the stuff that was supposed to fit into 4 films was compress into 1 in return of the Jedi.

Now that they are making a different sequel set it will be an original story and not the original outline for those films.
