Reading this thread, I couldn't help but think of Family Guy (new episodes coming in 2005!). This show has such clever and witty humor; it's awesome. Cliches are parodied all the time, the first one that comes to mind:

(Peter and his friends are walking back from fishing)
Cleveland: So what did you catch Peter?
Peter: Oh, nothing much, just a tire, a boot, a rusty can, and this book of cliches.
