I think businesses will just skip on Windows 8 like they skipped on Vista and wait for Microsoft to wake up. I think the hybrid approach was a bit silly and should probably have done two different interfaces depending on the hardware.

In any case, I think arguing over the cons and pros of osx, windows and linux is pretty tiring and done to death. Plus a lot of the common stereotypes are rather overblown- Windows security is pretty good, OSX is actually pretty easy to install on compatible non apple hardware and Android is proof that linux is not just a computer science hobby. I have both Windows 7 and OSX on my machine for a best of both worlds scenario. Plus I can always put linux up there if I want. Bam-more choice and fun for all.
