I have to say that i'm gutted about the Clone Wars. That show felt more like the Star Wars i love than the prequels ever did

Ditto. Season V alone was seriously better Star Wars than we've had in years in my view, and that one season did a better job explaining The Clone Wars and the backstory of the OT than the prequels did in three feature films.

Add that to the other four series and the show totally blew the prequels away. Some of the story arcs and the characters created for the show were just a million times better than the most of the Star Wars content we've had since 1977. The fact that they made Anakin a likable and cool character, and even made it so I didn't instantly fly into a murderous rage whenever Jar-Jar came on the screen is a testament to the quality of the show. And there's so much unresolved stuff for the characters to show. Ugh.

I was totally crushed to hear that they wouldn't carry it on, but I wasn't too shocked considering the merger and Disney's putting basically every other project on hold to focus on the new films... not a good start for Kennedy so far, because I loved The Clone Wars and was really looking forward to 1313, and I know a lot of other people who did, too.

Annoying, but what can you do?
