Ironically I just finished my build half an hour ago.... I will post some pictures later.

In reality, my choices to make the build more affordable ie a blank radar dish, painted rigging, 60 black levers etc, do not detract from the fact that the 10179 Falcon is quite simply a monster build!!

The colours are almost irrelevant as it is the pure scale, size and detail of the thing that makes it what it is as this link shows.

I am extremely pleased that two people have actually been inspired to actually go ahead and build their own 10179 Falcon and with two others looking into doing this as well, I say that this thread has been a success.

The next step for me is to go ahead and wall mount the thing which I am really looking forward to seeing completed.

I do have loads more info and links so if any one is tempted to have a go themselves, I am more than happy to deal with them via PM rather than annoy anyone else on this thread.....
