Is interlaced YV12 sufficient to store all LaserDisc chroma?

It should be, as DVDs have higher chroma resolution than LDs and they use YV12.

If you plan to IVTC: Capture in 4:2:2 (or better) and then convert to YV12 prior to the final encode. IVTCing YV12-captured material destroys the chroma of the original "C" frame of a 3:2-pulldown'd NTSC source.
