I had the chance to meet Prowse at Celebration 3, he had a very uninspiring little signing booth and was sitting alone with no one in line for an autograph! It was a slightly sad looking scene so I went over and talked to him for a bit. He was really nice although because the floor was so damn loud I could barely here a word he said. One thing I caught him saying was that he was unhappy with the location of the booth. I asked him if he was tired of hearing the Imperial March every time he's introduced anywhere and he said "No, it's all great!"
When I was 5 years old I lived in Japan and my dad took me to a word-touring Star Wars museum somewhere in downtown Tokyo in 1993-94 ish. They had everything at the event and it's one of my favorite memories growing up: OG land speeder, Star Destroyer models, Millennium Falcon, Executor, Death Star and most of the costumes.
I briefly met Kenny Baker in 2008 while working as a PA on a TV show for G4 at Comic Con. A group of us were standing around talking to him while he sat in a tall chair and the producer asked him if he'd be willing to do some segments with Anthony Daniels to which he replied in his deep and raspy cockney accent "Not a bloody chance" and "I never do interviews with that fuckin' pre madonna queen" True story. Think of the last time you saw Kenny Baker and Daniels do an interview together, or ever saw them onscreen anywhere together besides the films. Can't think of any can you? Apparently they despise each other! Baker's statement made me laugh so hard that I had to leave the area for a few minutes to regain my composure.
