happy to say it?   when I say something like that, it is because someone or something has totally pissed me off.

That's the thing, then, don't get so worked up about things that are said on a screen. Even if they are important to you. Sometimes I read things that don't sit well with me, and I just stay quiet. I could get into a rant about this and that, but I don't. It's the old saying, "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say nothing at all". It's also less time consuming.

Otherwise people get an image of "guy with a short fuse". And that's not a good image.

I understand what you are saying, but it is a lot easier to say don't get so worked up then it is to not get so worked up.

and I admit I have a short fuse.  It is something I continue to try to work on.

I was expressing a wish that you would not be dead and would be somewhere else having fun even 100 years from now.

There are some times I start furiously typing a response (to Warbler in the midst of a political debate) but it's weighed down in frustration and venting. I find it helpful to stop myself, realize it's not going to express what I want and only inspire more frustrated venting. So I delete it. The next attempt is better, but still a bit too personally-oriented. I usually get on track with a third attempt. I think it's helpful to stop oneself when one wants to lash out. Anyways, to what Bingo is saying I think it best to say nothing if it's not in some way productive.

I never realized you had to rewrite your responses to me, twice(or once for that matter).

I do that as well. Several times over. Sometimes I end up not posting at all.

Just don't call Harmy a faneditor, because then you really will be asking for it.

just for further info on why I hate conspiracy theorists and told them to 'foad'.  I have just seen stuff on the net claiming that Sandy Hook is fake.   So not only did these kids have to endure what happened there, but now they are called liars.    After all if you ask the kids what happened that day, they will say a nut came in and shot up the school, if you believe Sandy Hook is fake you must believe that the kids are lying.   sick, just sick.

Most Sandy Hook scrutineers don't say children weren't killed they just point to some interesting observations.

Like the disappearing nose (probably a compression glitch) on CNN

(coupled to their history of claiming to be places when they are actually infront of green or blue screens).

And people walking around in circles at the firehouse etc, etc,

It's right that people should be vigilant and question these things and dare to imagine the worst.

Automatically jumping to the conclusion that they are nuts or evil and should keep quite is more dangerous because that means anyone in power has a free hand to do what they please including planning to massacre people to get their policies through.

What you should do when you are faced with an extraordinary claim is to weigh up the evidence for yourself by listening to all sides and looking at the quality of the evidence above the quantity of people rattling it off.

Sometimes the official story is a pack of lies, often it isn't.

Blindly accepting the official line on something is a nutty as leaping to the conclusion that shape shifting lizard-men are behind everything.

I can point you to a number of phenomena that lizard-men have no interest in at all.

But I could be fibbing.

people also shouldn't automatically jump to the conclusion that everything is fake.   Also horrible tragedies should not be used(abused) in order to play conspiracy games.

hard to do that when the bs detectors are going off.

Your bs detector should go off whenever you see anything.

Adverts, the news, anything on the internet including this post.

The fact that this thread is still going means that you're looking for someone to outright call you a disrespectful brat and agree with the premise of this thread. Quit playing the victim.

 (Edited)

I am not looking for someone to call me anything.    I created this thread because someone called me a disrespectful brat and I wanted to find out if this is how I am perceived.   I assure I have not continued this conversation so that someone will call me something.  This conversation has continued because I find it interesting.

bkev, have I wronged you in someway?

does anyone agree with bkev?

I have to say, I appreciate Warbler's receptiveness in this thread.

I have no problem with threads exploring possible personal foibles.

Stop being a disrespectful brat, bkev ;)
