Why not do a good 2K (or 4K) scan of the print? Do you think it's a release print struck from the IN, or is it a special print struck from the original camera negative? If it's just a regular generation print, than 2K with the highest color depth should suffice, otherwise I would opt for 4K. I'm sure it would cost a fortune, but I'm certain that many of the fans would be willing to make contributions, including myself. Do you have a PayPal account?

This link says we can have it scanned at 2K and recorded in HD for less than $1000. (I did the math. The movie is 11,000 feet long.) Or we can get it scanned at 2K and recorded in 2K for less than $2000. Both options have DPX files, so you would have way more color information than the Blu-ray's.

It would be easier for them to just close their business right away, without going through the troubles of getting sued.
