Gotcha. Well, I would have run a donation drive to get you a new system if I'd known that was a factor. I do see that there is likely minimal difference, and the real problem is that the source material from Lucasfilm is crappy (daaaaamn you George Lucas!), but I frankly feel like the reasoning of "SD material blended in would look worse" doesn't really hold up. You're basically saying we want the whole movie to look crappier so that the crappiest looking bits look better by comparison, which is kind of ridiculous in the first place, but then it also clashes with the example above showing there *isn't* that much difference.

Anyway, it is what it is, and more importantly there would not be a dramatic difference in detail anyway. I could probably get a 1080p native equivalent result by just running a good sharpening post filter.
