Thanks, Zion!

So, here you are the link to a .zip file containing an untouched mirror of www.x0project.com website, taken in the year 2006, including all the images and videos:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/blvro9

There are interesting articles about the Pioneer HLD-X0 and restoration techniques. Note that the images and video included theer are NOT available on the archive.org... so, what are you waiting for? Download it, right now! (^^,)

Sadly my projects are lost due to an HDD crash… 😦 | [Fundamental Collection] thread | blog.spoRv.com | fan preservation forum: fanres.com

Excellent, _,,,^..^,,,_ !

Thanks for this full & working capture of that classic site. I can click on all the links throughout the saved site and everything works like it was live on the Internet. lives again!

I nominate you as the new & improved archive.org!  :)

Thanks! Since I wasn't a member here back when this project was started, I never got to take a look at that site and its goodies.

Thanks, Andrea!!!

A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.

I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

Anyone else finding that the link doesn't work in Firefox? Even my newly-pasted link below doesn't seem to work - the page flashes white briefly but nothing happens:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/blvro9

Ctrl-click into a new tab works though.

Mine worked fine normally in Firefox.

The link worked fine for me too.

By the way, thank you, Andrea. :)

I remember I found this thread (and thankfully the whole forum) when I was looking for info about the Pioneer HLD-X0 and X9, the latter bought some time ago (as I cannot find an X0 at a reasonable price -> less than a used car).

This thread, with all its technical info, restoring ideas, surprising images... gave me the "restoration spirit", and I'm sure many of you have started your own project thanks to this thread, too, isn't true?

So, thank you, XØ Project, and thanks to its members!

Happy to spread the x0project website... is it time to build an x9project website involving the use of Technidisc laserdiscs as source? I'll put the HLD-X9... (^^,)

Sorry, I always forget that Andrea is a female name in US and UK... I'm a man, and I changed my signature to state that - in Italy is a male name, and there are at least half million of Andrea here! (°L°,)

Now that the site is back up, will netgurucr get back the money donated? ;)

However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…

Just letting everyone know I put a lossless re-encode of this up on myspleen - it an 18GB mkv. Combined the parts in virtualdub and output to YV12 Lagarith. Then ran through BDtoAVCHD with x264 CRF 0, grain preset and placebo speed settings. Also output the pcm capture as flac. Audio appears to be slightly out of sync, but considering the processing power needed to watch this I figured it’s more likely people will be using it as a source rather than standard viewing.

Happy Holidays 😃

From these (that is cool!)?

How did those originals start off and what is the difference after your re-encode?
(Always wanted to get them [and the “timecode version”] but never had the bandwidth.)
